Open Proxies are servers that allow anyone to forward web services such as DNS or web pages. Persons using such a proxy believe to be anonymous and therefore these open proxies are a very likely source of spam and vandalism.
Over the last weeks WikiAir has been experiencing a massive amount of vandalism, mostly done using open proxies. As you may guess cleaning up vandalism takes some time and can be quite upsetting, especially when most edits done are vandalism.

For this reason a large number of known open proxy servers have been blocked on WikiAir.

As new open proxies are created daily, we will continuously expand our block list.
