It is part of Lufthansa Regional, an alliance of airlines operating regional flights on behalf of Lufthansa.
The airline was foundet as Ostfriesische Lufttaxi and taken over by Lufthansa in 1992.
Lufthansa CityLine operates to destinations all over Europe, usually connecting secondary airports to Lufthansa hubs and focus cities.
