[edit] Downtown

Downtown Louisville is currently experiencing a true renaissance and is a safe place to walk. The police do a great job downtown, just don't go any farther west than 9th street.

[edit] Things to Do

"Thunder Over Louisville" April 22, 2006 Arguably one of the top airshows, this year will feature the Blue Angels and the first public airshow performance by the F-22. Better than the airshow, is the fireworks display. It is the largest display in North America and usually the largest in the world. Thunder is the opening of the 2-week long Derby Festival. If you have a layover in SDF during this time frame, make sure you have accommodations set up well in advance. If you just want to see an awesome show, try to jumpseat in for the day and then jump back out on UPS saturday morning.

For info on Thunder, Check out www.kdf.org and follow the link to Thunder Over Louisville.
