This week we've added a few new features, and fixed a bug:

1. There is now a stronger anti-spam captcha extension installed. The captcha is enabled for the following conditions:

• New user registration
• Anonymous edits that contain new external links
• Brute-force password cracking

2. We added an anti-spam email tag, that will turn an email address into an image. You can see an example of how to use it at the bottom of my page: User:Wikiadmin

3. We fixed the small bug that was not allowing thumbnails to be created.

Saturday July 21st, 2007

WikiAir is back up after a major database crash. We were able to recover (after a week of work) the entire database. On a positive note, we were able to accomplish some major upgrades...including:

1. Upgraded Mediawiki software to version 1.10.1

2. Installed Extension to help prevent "bots" from spamming the site

3. Implemented "Pretty URL's" and eliminated the "index.php?title=" that was in the address of each page. (Example: www.wikiair.com/wiki/index.php?title=Seattle now becomes www.wikiair.com/wiki/Seattle)
