  • McCormick & Schmicks downtown has an early and late happy hour that features food specials. The typical menu has about ten items on it ranging from salmon fingers to mussels to 8 ounce cheeseburgers for $1.95 or so. Great place to take a group and have everyone order different items to make a buffet!

  • For quick food with good variety while you are sightseeing on the Freedom Trail stop at Faneuil Hall which is a historic sight as well.

  • Haymarket Pizza (for lunch) in the heart of the Haymarket (Vegetable Market). Think Pike Street Market in the raw. Just a block north of Quincy Market/FaneuilHall, behind the Union Oyster House. Cheese Pizza $1.00 a slice, toppings .50/apiece, sodas - $1.00. Spartan setting, but you will be rubbing elbows with the locals who know a good deal when they see it.
  • Mike's City Diner. Nice for breakfast, extremely nice staff and reasonable prices. 1714 Washington St.

  • Sissy K's in downtown Boston. $1.50 16oz bud lights.

Take Blue line subway to state street, left when you come out of the station, make a left about 3 blocks down(look for the "black Rose" restaruant on the corner). it is a couple doors down on the left hand side. Good food, no smoking, and good beer.
